You're going because it's Casa Bonita and Denver requires it of you at least once. The taco is a bonus. The experience is the point.

The Verdict

Denver doesn't apologize for being landlocked, and neither should you when you order a fish taco here. The city has quietly built a lineup of spots that understand what makes the thing work, from the straightforward reliability of Adelitas and El Taco De Mexico to the unexpected competence of Wynkoop and Steuben's doing their own interpretations. The ocean isn't coming to Denver. Denver went and figured it out anyway.
